Teenage sniper Brenda Ann Spencer, explaining the 1979 shooting spree that left two dead and several injured, told a reporter: "I don't like Mondays. This livens up the day." Luckily for us, Bryant Park's Summer Film Festival, which takes place every Monday through August 18, provides another avenue for relieving those end-of-the-weekend dolors. Tonight, catch the classic Bride of Frankenstein (1935), starring Boris Karloff as the Monster—who, along with his creator, Henry Frankenstein, has managed to survive the dramatic fire at the end of 1931's Frankenstein. Having given up reanimating the dead, Dr. Frankenstein is pulled back into the resurrection business when his old professor—the sinister Dr. Pretorius—kidnaps his wife and blackmails him into building a bride (famously played by Elsa Lanchester) for the sad, lonely Monster. You'll never see unrequited love quite like this again. Lawn opens at 5 for blankets and picnicking, film starts at sunset.

Draw-A-Thon: Where You Can Draw 'Til Your Heart's Content.

There's a place where you can go draw nudes for hours...and under $100. The Draw-A-Thon. It's not for the faint of heart or the conservative, however. Michael Alan has just received a grant for his infamous Draw-A-Thon and you can now pay just $10 for 10 models in a 3000sqft place. Here's the info:

"Thursday at 6pm we will be performing a 5 hour play Life and Death of the Draw-a-thon, we are sponsored by the Brooklyn arts council and pochron studios and might not get such an amazing opportunity and space like this in a while so don't miss out,

Le Gigot: My New Favorite Restaurant...

Although, it's not really new. It's been there for almost 10 years or so, apparently. Everything I tasted here was delicious. And the pâté was the best I've ever had, hands down. Superb restaurant and suberb staff. Definitely a must on your culinary list of to do's in NYC.

P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center presents Arctic Hysteria: New Art from Finland, an intergenerational and interdisciplinary exhibition featuring 16 Finnish artists, that will introduce New York audiences to outlandish visions of aliens, utopias, animals, and psychedelia. Arctic Hysteria will be on view in the First Floor Galleries, Café, and Boiler Room from June 1, 2008 through September 15, 2008. In conjunction, Warm Up will present two major Finnish bands Jimi Tenor and Op:l Bastards on August 23. On September 15, The Museum of Modern Art will present a special screening of Electric Forest, a compilation of historical and contemporary Finnish video works.
